running JSPs and Servlets on Linux
Hello,
I just recently got a GoDaddy Virtual/Dedicated Linux server account so I can run servlets and JSPs from my website. I've never done this before and am having difficulty figuring out how to set things up. Can someone on this forum help out?
As a first step I figured I would try to upload plain-n-simple HTML and JSP files to see if I could get them to execute. The HTML works correctly but the JSP does not -- the webserver parses it as plain text rather than interpretting it. I have tomcat running on my account but I'm not sure how to configure it to handle JSPs and servlets.
Have I got the right forum for this type of request? If not, any suggestions on other forums??
Thanks!
-Steve
