SLES 10 - any way to remove Settings submenu?
Hello,
I'm running SLES 10, have configured everything using the Kiosk Admin tool to lock down non-root VNC sessions, but I have one remaining problem - how do I get rid of the 'Settings' submenu on the KMenu? The menu editor doesn't show it, yet it's there - and I don't want users fiddling around in it. Is it possible to remove it?
Thanks,

press Alt+F2 and type 'kmenuedit'.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

devils,
Thanks for your response! Unfortunately, this didn't do the trick - I've been trying to use KMenuEdit for quite some time, but it just doesn't have the option to remove the two administrative submenus in SLES 10, called "My System" and "Settings". They're in the "Actions" section of the KMenu, and there simply isn't an option for these two items, so I'm at a complete loss of how to get rid of them from KMenu. Any other ideas?
THanks,

right Click on Panel -- Configure Panel -- Menus Tab
look in Optional Menus list and un-check whatever you dont need.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
