Kernel panic - not syncing:Attempted to kill init!
Hello everybody!!
I need badly your help, our server here in our office hang-up due to power failure, and when i restart my computer the error message appear:
EXT3 - fs error (device hda3):ext3_check_descriptors:Block bitmap for group 640 not in group (block 16877);
EXT3 - fs group descriptors corrupted!
mount:error 22 mounting ext3
mount:error 2 mounting none
switchroot:mount failed:22
umount/initrd/dev failed:2
kernel panic-not syncing:Attempted to kill init!
i already tried searching to google for some solutions but the problem is i can't open my F1-F6 console i can open only to grub>.... im using a fedora core 3 OS... can i use this grub> to update my kernel???
Please help me......

It will be better if you start a new thread and out your query as this will get the attention of all the other members easily.
About your doubt... i am not very sure of the same! but you can use a linux installation CD and type the following command at boot prompt.
after this typeCode:linux rescue
and post the content on the new thread.Code:fdisk -l
