So, I have been happily using vsftpd for quite some time now without a hitch. Recently, I attempted to logon as I always had via ftp. It said 500 Connection refused (Winsock error #10061). So then I went to the server and typed in sudo vsftpd start . That came up with the error 500 oops: unrecognized variable in config file: ENV

I am not sure what to do at this point. I have scoured all of the files looking for env, but could not find a one. I also uninstalled then reinstalled it to no avail.

Help?
