Sending Fax through email
Hi All,
At my company, we currently use Microsoft Exchange 5.5 (running on win NT
) and we are able to send faxes by email through exchange by inserting into the To: line By doing this, it goes through exchange, sends it through a fax program that we have running on the email server, generates the cover sheet and everything and then sends it.[fax: recipientname@faxnumber]
I am trying to slap together an email server in linux (going to try a few distro's, working on Fedora right now though), but that is one issue I haven't seen mentioned and I don't know of any programs to duplicate it.
I feel that if I can't find a suitable replacement for practically all services running with exchange, I won't convince my boss to switch to Linux. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jeremy
