    MySQL 5 on Fedora 4


    I am going to install fedora core 4, it seems that the MySQL 4.x is in the fedora DVD. can i install MySQL 5 on Fedora core 4 ( I think i cxan download MYSQL 5 RPM to this). Now i need to know that is it compatible in Fedora 4.

    It will be hard to get new packages for old distros (like FC4), Also MySQL 5 may need some basic libs that are not found on your system.

    I can recommend an update or Google
