Block https Traffic
I am using Squid as my Proxy and i have creates some rules to block the traffics. My Issue is i cant block the https traffic through Squid Proxy.
Eg:- I have blocked gmail.com, google.mail.com in my blocked list. If we try gmail.com it is blocked and working fine. But the problem is i can able to access gmail.com using https, ie https traffic is not blocking.
Any Body please help...i am newbie in linux...
I dont want to block 443 port because our websites also using https....
I want to block only gmail traffic..please......
Use iptables and block the ip of gmail.
Not sure if this is what you need.

I cant block gmail using iptables...because some of our users need gmail.....i dont want to block gmail for entire users..i need to block gmail for some particular users...
Please tell me how o block gmail through squid...?
You can block gmail for certain ip addresses, not for all local ip's.
This is easy, you just use -s (source).
