Cannot connect to FTP server outside of network
Hello, I've been having some problems with my FTP server, and thus far have been unsuccessful in solving them. Here they are:
I'm running a fresh install of VSFTPD, running through Xinetd. I've configured VSFTPD to allow local users to log in, and all the other settings I wanted. Now, when I try to connect to this server from the computer it runs on, IE, "ftp localhost", I get no problems. I can log in, download, upload, etc. However, the problem comes in whenever I step outside of my own computer. At first I thought it was just beyond my network, but even the computer in the basement cannot connect to my FTP server. Whether I use my external IP address, my domain name, my internal IP, or my network hostname. They all refuse to even recognize there is anything listening on port 21.
I'm sure I've got the right ports open, so I'm left at a standstill. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? I'll include a copy of my vsftpd.conf file, just to be sure.
