Domain address pointing
Greetings to all on this forum!
This is my first post, so I'll be short and quick as I can be.
I have a server running on Fedora 12 (Constantine), and I have basic web server services running, it has a public IP address: 18.104.22.168 (SeLinux is blocking my apache currently, and other various services). I have a private domain of my own: zlatan.eu.org.
I can modify my domain's registar data such as namservers, MX's and stuff, you know.
Firstlly I post this topic because I never had this kind of a project/issue so I need some professional help.
What I need is: redirect/host/point zlatan.eu.org on my 22.214.171.124 server. (this is easy part)
Main question is: do I need to configure NAMED service on my server to do something or just leave the system intact ?
Hope someone understands me and points me with some direct and usefull help ;)
Thanks in forwards to all!
All you need to do really is make sure that hostname points at that IP in the nameserver information held by the people hosting your domain. All http requests will land at your IP address then.
Then all you have to do is overcome the SELinux issues.
