Duplicate name exists on the network?
Greetings,
Trying to configure samba between two computers - one FC2 the other W2K Pro
From a root terminal:
Quote:
smbclient //engagestaff/ -U Administrator password
Domain=[ENGAGESTAFF] OS=[Windows 5.0] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager]
tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME
From GNOME:
Quote:
You do not have the permissions necessary to view the contents of "Windows Network: engagestaff"
From the W2K Box:
Quote:
\\Localhost is not accessible
A duplicate name exists on the network.
From smb.conf
Quote:
[My_Documents]
comment = MyDocs
path = /home/user/My Documents
public = yes
browseable = yes
guest ok = yes
writeable = yes
Anyone see anything?
Cheers,
Mike
