Fedora Core 4

I am usually a slackware user, but I have used redhat for my servers since red hat 5.1. I really like the install and the stability of the no X installs. Anyways this brings me to my question. I just built a Fedora Core 4 server. I was using Fedora Core 3 till today. My Hd was starting to error and causing kernel panics, so I decided since I had to install a new HD I would just build a new server.
Things I noticed Smart D isn't running anymore. Is there a reason for this? It always gave me a heads up on my HD. Did something happen to smart d or is there something new?

Also I didn't have to fight the GPG key stuff in 4 good job guys.

4 is f*ing fast (no X)

One last thing everything works but Squirrelmail for some reason. I have it configured exactly as I did in 3 (actually scp'd it to the new box) yes the permissions are the same.
Has anybody else encountered this?

Smartd may not be running because it's not installed. I've not seen it on any of my desktop installs of FC4 (4 so far) last week when I did an upgrade of my tower PC. I think it only put smartd on because the FC2 that was on there previously had it. It turned the service on, too - this is a little odd as I keep SMART turned off for the drives on the desktop/user machines ('cos it slows down the hard disk access time).

I've got squirrelmail, but only on my FC2 server, so I'll be keeping my eye on this thread to see if anyone else has had problems with it. You have checked your firewall settings for this to work, haven't you? And you have the imap package installed, dont you? And you have pop3/imap/pop3s/imaps (whatever your squirrelmail is using) turned on in your server settings, dont you (I always forget these when I'm doing an upgrade or fresh install)?

Thanks for your reply first of all. I figured out what the issue was. It was me being a bonehead. My hard drive was failing so I decided to build another server. I then decided since I was rebiulding my server I should upgrade to Fedora Core 4, which by the way is far supierior to Fedora 3. Anyways I saved my origional http file in fedora core 4 as http.orig then scp'd my http folder from my fc3 box over to fc4. Well the problem is that php moved from version 4 to version 5 and broke php. So I mv'd the http.orig back to http and just copied the old http.conf file back and all is happy.
Thanks for the advice anyway.
