Hostname will not update.

I cannot update my hostname.
when I type:

Code:

---

hostname

---

it will display my current hostname. When I type:

Code:

---

sudo hostname mactruck.me

---

and then I do

Code:

---

hostname

---

It will display mactruck.me

When I reboot it reverts back to my old hostname.
Any thoughts?
