How do I turn off sSMTP?

Hello,

I don't know if this is the correct forum for this question or not. However, I've tried asking the forums over at Cygwin till I'm blue in the face.

Some time ago, I turned on ssmtp, the "simple" SMTP client for cygwin. Now, due to log flooding with ssmtp errors of unknown etiology, I need to turn this service off. I've tried un-installing it, I've tried looking for it in the Services stack to no avail.

I apologize for asking this semi-WIndows question here in advance, but I'm running out of options.

Any thoughts? Gratefully appreciated
