'n00b' problem connecting to samba
I set up my samba server, but for some reason I am unable to connect to it from my XP machine. I'm running samba on fedora. I can see the samba server, but every time I try to connect to it I get an error message that says "\\localhost is not accesible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this sevrer to find out if you have access permissions. You were not connected because a duplicate name exists on the network. Go to system in control panel to change the computer name and try again"
I tried changing the computer name a few times. Each time that I have done so, I have gotten the login screen, but once I enter username and password I get the same error message as above. Any advice on how to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
