phpMyAdmin ... #1130 - Host 'loopback' is not allowed ...

I have tog this message while trying to connect to mysql db using phpMyAdmin ...

#1130 - Host 'loopback' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server

any suggestions?

Have you renamed "localhost" to "loopback"? If so change it back again.

You may have done this in /etc/hosts
