Pulling hair out over FP extensions
I have read thru about 90% of the posts reguarding front page extension problems. I am not finding any real answers to the problems that are being asked. Some of the problems relate, but the answers given are so vague I am just too much of a noob to figure it out, but here is my current issue:
FP extensions version 5
It won't let me upgrade HTTPD to front page module. So I let the install overwrite with their own httpd.
now when I try to start my webserver with apachectl start I get the following error:
httpd: could not open document config file /usr/local/www/t10059/conf/httpd.conf
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start:httpd could not be started
I know I need to update the path. But in which file do I need to update the path. I read somwhere that I can just prefix it in.. But they never said what file to prefix it too.
I can manually start the httpd with the -f and the path, but it does not load the front page extensions. Or at least they aren't working if it is.
I hope that make sense. And I hope the answer hasn't already been answered, I couldn't find a clear answer
Nevermind, I just figured it out. I'm sure its not the right way to do it, but it is most definately the easiest. I just created the /www/t10059 directory and copied my conf directory into that, and all is good. And frontpage is working now to boot. However it did downgrade my version of apache to 1.3.26
