Squid cache_dir error
I have just compiled Squid 2.7 STABLE9 on Debian 6 and when ever I try to run my Squid daemon I get this error message:
I read the section of the squid manual about cache_dir, is there something I missed?
FATAL: Bungled squid.conf line 11: cache_dir aufs /usr/local/squid/cache 5000 16 256
Squid Cache (Version 2.7.STABLE9): Terminated abnormally.
It isn't a permission issue, I know it isn't secure but I set it to chmod 777 just to test if it was a permission problem or not.
Did you ever find a solution to this? It's popping up on google and I have the same issue (albeit in 3.1.15).
Never mind, I just got it. You need to compile with the --enable-async-io option on when you do ./configure
