vsftpd and ntp (cap_set_proc) problem
I'm having this strange problem with vsftpd. It used to run flawlessly until one day i did "apt-get upgrade". Now when I try to log in my ftp server, i got this:
Now, I realized that my ntp doesn't work either. Everytime it synchronizes with the time servers, it'll fail. I checked the /var/log/ntp.log file and it says:
[david@blah ~]$ ncftp -u david localhost

So now it seems it's all about this cap_set_proc thing. What the hell is it anyway? I couldn't find any clue on google. Would anyone please shed some light? Thanks.

Missing kernel module I think
I had this problem too, but then i inserted this kernel module
and my problems went away. You new kernel probably has it in by default.
