Setting a default ssh user

Does any one know how to set a default login for a given machine using ssh?

ie, I would like to do the follwoing

ssh foo@machine.school.edu == ssh machine

I know how to use /etc/hosts to set "machine.school.edu" == to "machine", I just don't know how to make "foo" the defualt user.

TIA

See the manpages for ssh_config(5).

It looks like you can specify this with a User foo directive in your ssh per-user config file (~/.ssh/config).
