Onboard Audio Config

So I have onboard audio on my slackware box, and I can't seem to configure the onboard audio. I've used many other distros on the same computer, like vector and zenwalk, both which are slackware based, and they all configured the audio automatically, is there any way I could do this with slackware.?

Just an idea: Using vector and zenwalk can you check to see what module they are using then be sure that you are using the same under slackware? lsmod

I'm taking a guess here... Is this a clean install?

In that case run:
Code:
alsaconf
The installer doesn't run this, whereas Vector and probably Zenwalk do. You have to switch it on manually.
