Realtek 8185 doesn't work after reboot. Doesn't load, re-mod, re-install, nothing.:(

I'm having troubles, my Realtek 8185 card will not work after reboot.
lspci and lsmod command logs

Before install

lsmod command came out as nothing, just a new line.

After install, working.

I modprobe everyone of those drives or lsmod output, then I went to directory and went to rtl8185 directory and ran wlan0up

For all those drivers, I got file exists errors, then for the r8180.ko driver, I have unknown symbol in module.
After that I have, wlan0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device.

What is wrong? Is a module for Realtek loading, and screwing up with the rtl8180 module?
How would I find that out?

It is the rtl8187 module. You may want to just install the most current drivers. What kernel version are you running. rowebil Just Joined! Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 12	Well the rtl8187 driver doesn't work with my card. I'm running kernel 2.6.21.5 I tried installing my card, and it said error /lib/modules/2.6.21.5 no such file or directory, stop! So I went on backtrack and the user told me to use kernel 2.6.21.5 then it worked. Now after first reboot after the isntallation, it doesn't work.

If you want your wireless to work, either upgrade the kernel, or use a newer distro. I have never found the need to use Backtrack. It doesn't have good wireless support, and the "tools" that it has aren't needed for everyday wireless connections. __________________ Paul Please do not PM me with requests for help. rowebil Just Joined! Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 12	I have backtrack because of the tools, aircrack-ng. Basically all I want with backtrack is the wifi cracking tools to scan my network for any exploits. I don't want to start a new thread, but should I install ubuntu, then install aircrack-ng? I preferably like LinuxMint because it's ubuntu, but it has everything. Should I install LinuxMint and then install aircrack-ng?
