Hi,

I just installed Slack 10.1 and made it pretty minimal, and I use flux as my WM, but I dont know how to change the resolution- please help me, it's on 1024x768 and I want it on 800x600,

Thanks

You can try using CTRL ALT + or CTRL ALT - keyboard combinations, to change the resolution while in X.

Also you could edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file and simply change lines inside

Section "Screen"
...
FROM Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
TO Modes "800x600"

EndSection

Save the file, and restart X...[/img]

XORG

It seems as if you have 800x600 on your video mode list. If that is so then go onto the KDE Control center and change your video mode.
