After SlackWare LILO installation bug (Need list of necessary files for GRUB)

I have a question now ... The installation of LILO in Slackware bugged and now I cant boot my computer... It says "Invalid Partition Table" and doesnt boot at all ... So I decided to try GRUB... yet I need a GRUB that doesnt take more than 1.4 MB (Original GRUB takes 3.2 MB yet I need to use a floppy) . I have seen a GRUB before that worked with less files , so I'm sure that some arent necessary.I've made my .lst and now my question is : which are the BASIC GRUB files that I need to boot my system ?(no netboot ... just necessary files to boot ...) I need the minimum amount of files
I'll be thankful if you help me ....

check the link in the grub tutorial in the general tutorial area of this site. There is a diskette grub there.
