Ekiga/Gnomemeeting question

Hi all

I am newbie running Slackware 10.2 with KDE desktop. I have got Free Rock Gnome-2.12.1 on a separate CD. When I installed the following packages (without installing Free Rock Gnome) I could run Gnomeeting.

cairo-1.0.2-i486-1frg.tgz
evolution-data-server-1.4.1.1-i486-1frg.tgz
gconf-2.12.1-i486-1frg.tgz
glitz-0.4.4-i486-1frg.tgz
gnome-keyring-0.4.6-i486-1frg.tgz
gnome-vfs-2.12.1.1-i486-1frg.tgz
gnomemeeting-1.2.2-i486-2frg.tgz
howl-1.0.0-i486-1frg.tgz
libbonobo-2.10.1-i486-2frg.tgz
libbonoboui-2.10.1-i486-3frg.tgz
libgnome-2.12.0.1-i486-1frg.tgz
libgnomecanvas-2.12.0-i486-1frg.tgz
libgnomeui-2.12.0-i486-1frg.tgz
libsoup-2.2.6.1-i486-1frg.tgz
openh323-1.15.6-i486-2frg.tgz
openldap-2.2.27-i486-2frg.tgz
orbit2-2.12.4-i486-2frg.tgz
pango-1.10.1-i486-2frg.tgz
pwlib-1.8.7-i486-2frg.tgz

Problem is, after establishing connection with a PC (on my home LAN) running XP with NetMeeting it(GnomeMeeting) automatically disconnects after 30 seconds!!

Any suggestions why this is so and how to solve it???

Also, since Gnomemeeting is now ekiga; I went to "linuxpackages.net" I found ekiga-2.0.1 but it says that it requires "Gnome libs".

What *exactly* are these "Gnome libs"?? Is there any way to resolve these dependencies without actually installing the whole Gnome Desktop??

Thanks in advance guys
