Installing kernel modules
Hi, well i needed the ac and batt ACPI modules, so i went to /usr/src/linux , with make menuconfig i checked if this two functions were included as modules or were built-in , they were modules, i compiled and installed them ( make modules && make make modules_install), loaded in rc.modules, i solved the problem, my question here is, is this the proper way to install modules for the kernel that came with the installation cd or should i compile the modules and the bzImage and install as a whole new kernel ? Thanks, be happy
