Recently I used swaret to upgrade Slackware 11 and after rebooting I noticed some odd output...

root@blacksuncafe:~# ldconfig
ldconfig: /opt/kde/lib/libnoatuncontrols.so.1 is not a symbolic link

ldconfig: /opt/kde/lib/libkspell.so.4 is not a symbolic link

ldconfig: /opt/kde/lib/libkabc_file.so.1 is not a symbolic link

ldconfig: /usr/lib/libgobject-2.0.so.0.1000.3 is not an ELF file - it has the wrong magic bytes at the start.

ldconfig: /usr/lib/libgobject-2.0.so.0 is not an ELF file - it has the wrong magic bytes at the start.

ldconfig: /usr/lib/libgobject-2.0.so is not an ELF file - it has the wrong magic bytes at the start.

ldconfig: /usr/lib/libxslt.so.1.1.17 is not an ELF file - it has the wrong magic bytes at the start.

ldconfig: /usr/lib/libxslt.so.1 is not an ELF file - it has the wrong magic bytes at the start.

ldconfig: /usr/lib/libwraster.so.3 is not a symbolic link

ldconfig: /usr/lib/libpisock.so.8 is not a symbolic link

ldconfig: /usr/lib/libmtp.so.2 is not a symbolic link

ldconfig: /usr/lib/libsensors.so.3 is not a symbolic link

I believe swaret updated something and its libs possibly but instead of removing them just added the newer version of the library... would this be a correct assumption? and how would I go about cleaning up this mess I've also included the output of file I hope this helps:

root@blacksuncafe:/usr/lib# file libsensors.so.3
libsensors.so.3: character special (105/10

root@blacksuncafe:/usr/lib# file libmtp.so.2
libmtp.so.2: character special (105/10

root@blacksuncafe:/usr/lib# file libxslt.so.1
