Fedora Core 2 switch to Slackware?
I am a new linux user who is messing with FC2. I like it but hear lots of great things about slackware and was wondering if you guys recommend a newby linux user swapping FC 2 to Slackware Linux ?

I myself have also switched to Slack from among other distros, mandrake. The Slack install is quite simple and straightforward. You can simply keep the existing partitions that mandrake setup made for you and reformat them, or completely re-partition. Here is a link to (the printable version) a decent step by step guide to installing slack. I am not positive that it is dealing with slackware 10.0 but the install is just about identical to older versions. http://www.bitbenderforums.com/vb22/...threadid=60154

I am sure installation is great but what I was really wondering is about the difficulty of learning curve from switching distros from Fedora 2 to slackware?
