    ftp configuration


    how can i open port 21(ftp) in order to send files through my home network?
    do i have to edit some file or somethimg?

    After that you should enable the ftp protocol in your firewall (if you have one). I know you have to that in guarddog, firestarter or similar....

    i installed pure-ftpd and then after running the daemon i edited the /etc/inetd.conf.
    now it runs perfectly..
