Vector linux
Hi you guys,
recently I downloaded Vector linux, which is said to be drived from Slackware. I have a couple of problems, my first being the display is very low quality, I want to know how I can change the color and which setting are the best. I am also interested in web dev. Is it possible to use Apache onVector Linux?

Apache can be installed and should work on any distro. For the graphics issue, have you tried reconfiguring your X server.

Help
I am a newbie, how do I configure my graphics card?

You run the command xorgconfig. I am not sure if Vector has a gui tool that would help, but xorgconfig should work fine.

Yeah, Vector is based on Slackware. But it has -apart from other differences- some added GUI tools. You may want to check out VASM and VASMCC. This depends a little on which version you have, but I take it you run 5.9??
If that doesn't get you any further post here what kind of monitor and resolution you have, and what kind of video card. Can't tell an OS by it's GUI
