    Basic question about booting

    Hello,

I hope everyone is doing well. My question is how can I made the boot process where Slackware is initializing and configuring all it's components shorter?

I see a lot of stuff in there about PCIMA and other things that are unnecessary and could be skipped altogether. The boot process also stops for at least 25-30 seconds when it starts the appletalk daemons...I'd like to be able to nix that as well.

I can't find a config file that contains all these things.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks,
    Pete

Excellent! Thanks, I'll give that a read.
