lost in tha world of slackware...help pls!!
ok, i installed slackware (1st&2nd disk), i didnt want to use the kde they have so i didnt enable it on the config part. i want gnome. but since i cant seem to get my wlan up and running i'm kinda in a tight spot. gettin the wlan up and running is a small thing...i just dont kno how to do the packages, and how to get the "dependencies" that they may require.
here's my geexbox story: i'm imaginning installing geexbox on my slackware as my media player...wat u think?
help pls...as u can see ..i'm an extreme newbie

Yes, it sounds like you are in for a rough time if no internet.
For Gnome, you might want to look at Dropline Gnome, as it's geared for Slackware and you might find it easier to install than standard Gnome.oz
