I've installed slackware64-current and try to install some slackbuilds. What I do is change i486 to x86_64. I'm trying to install libopenraw, but I've got the following error:

I successfully compiled it from source. Why is it that some slackbuilds install ok while with some other I get exactly the same error:

You may not have the correct permissions on /tmp. I'm sure that the compiler is fine and that it's just the configure script getting a false reading. Try logging in as root and executing the command 'chmod 1777 /tmp'.

Actually, it turned out to be somthing else. Sometimes I used sed to replace i486 with x86_64 without analysing the file, which caused the problems.

That certainly rings a bell, be careful with your commands. I often prefer to do substitutions from within vi while I have the document open, that way I can keep on top of changes as they happen.
