    vi / viper


    Hey,
    I'm running Slackware 9.1, but when I use "vi," it defaults into "viper." How can I change that, so that it's just vi again. Could I use pkgtool to uninstall viper, would that work?

    give it a try, im not familar with viper, but im assuming its like a vim? just update/modded? in whitch case, thats probably the best solution, also try checking your PATH variable and using the absoulte command (ie /usr/sbin/vi) or w/e
