apache with php
hi i have installed and uninstalled apache and php numerose time to try and get it working! i am running on slackware and did have php and apache working but without sql support. i have uninstalled the slackware version of apache and built apache from the tar.gz file from the apache wesite. this works fine but i cant get php to work at all with apache now. i have installed php and done everything it says in the instructions. now when i try to start apache i get the error message saying libphp4.so cannot be found! i have searched the entire system for this file incase it went into a diffrent directory but it just isn't there.
is this problem common? and is it slackware specific?
has any one got any tips on how to make it work and also make it work with mysql
any help will be much appreciated
