Screen rotation without X.org
Is it possible to rotate the CLI bare CLI screen? I'm talking about a system with no X.org. I'm using a 1600x1200 screen and would like to get more vertical screen estate by rotating the screen into portrait mode.
I'm currently running Slackware 13.0 x64 on a Intel atom board (D945GCLF2D).
Thanks in advance for all the help.

Welcome to the forums!
Maybe the fbcon=rotate option would work for you with the framebuffer console:
Linux Kernel Documentation :: fb : fbcon.txt
I've never used it so can't offer up any specific help with it, but look at line #126 for the details:
Linux Kernel Documentation :: fb : fbcon.txtoz
