It's been about 5 years since I last ran swaret, but you used to be able to run man swaret from the command line for some options on using it. Not sure if that's still the case, but it would be worth checking out.
So, what commands are you trying to run?
Have you synced with the package repos before trying to use swaret to install any software?oz

Thats just it none of the commands for swaret do anything all it does is display swaret and the version number when I try to run a command and those are the commands from the man pages.

Hmm, according to this thread, swaret doesn't work on Slackware 13 anymore. Might want to stick with slapt-get.

I thought they patched it to work on 13.0

I really don't know, I just ran across that thread. If you found something to the contrary, then I stand corrected.
Have you setup /etc/swaret.conf?
Have you updated the package list?
