    blender problems

    I recently installed the 3d modeling program blender through slackbuilds on my slackware 13.0 system and when i run blender my entire screen goes black. So im unable to do anything with it but if I use alt tab to change between programs then blender looks normal but goes back to the black screen when i go back to trying to use blender . Is there any way to fix this problem ?

    If you open it from terminal, do you get any error messages?
