Can someone please show me a place where i can get a doinst.sh script that i can look at for slackware 13 so I can see how they work. And also I would like to know of some good slackware irc channels if anyone has any good recommendations thank you for listening.

Most of the time, you can find doinst.sh scripts under ./install within Slackware packages.
From SlackWiki:As far as an IRC channel, #slackware on irc.freenode.netWithin packages, doinst.sh is located in install/.
After installation, the doinst.sh scripts are placed in /var/log/scripts, and renamed into the package name.Jay

Thanks for your help its very appreciated im new to slackware and the book that came with it only explains so much lol. Probably wasnt my best choice for first linux os but I figured it would allow me to learn more about linux then other distros.
