    Good / morning / afternoon / evening

    I have tried many distributions

and I have some experience with them

but I want to try slackware 13

    1) The problem is when I enter the partition menu from the boot
there is no( write ) bottom

I can make the partition but without writing

    2) Can I install this distribution with graphical mode only ? ( without depending on DOS )

    Can anybody tell me please,,,

    Welcome to the forums!

You can use a partitioning tool such as gparted to create any partitions before installing Linux if you wish. You can find it on several different liveCDs, including the Parted Magic LiveCD. Boot with the Parted Magic disk, create any desired partitions, reboot with the Slackware install disk, and direct the installer to use the partitions that you've already created.

Note that Slackware doesn't use DOS at all in its installation and neither do any other Linux distributions that I'm aware of.

Hope you'll have fun with Slackware.
