    Salix OS -13.1 Kdm Problem

    I installed Salix Kde (4.3) 13.1 ISO ...

    Everything was going great.. I configured Wireless using slapt-get ...

    I was finding it difficult to configure my sound card - hda-intel STAC 9205 ; where I have to specify model = (ref/auto/5stack/3stack or something)

    I tried to update and upgrade the installation from the default repo..

    After that I am getting error at boot

    "Hey (kinda rude !!) , cannot find kdm,gdm,ldm ,xdm .....(some more DMs I cant remember) cannot run init level 4 ...Press Ctrl+Alt+F6 to try and fix from another console."

    When I type that also , I am unable to do anything

    What should I do to fix Kdm and sound??

    Don't. Go with Salix61_13.1.1_Xfce (emphasis on the XFCE).
    KDE and Slackware - ? - comments?
