I only installed today myself...
I installed wicd to manage wired/wireless connections
If you haven't already enabled a repository mirror, edit /etc/slackpkg/mirrors and uncomment just one repo (closest to you). Then first doCode:slackpkg install wicd
Code:slackpkg update slackpkg install-new slackpkg upgrade-all

Your wired connection should still work, can you plug in an ethernet cable to your router/switch? Wicd is on the DVD, there is a repo which points to it, you can try uncommenting just that one and see if you can install it from there.

Using ethernet cable is not an option i only have access to wireless. I managed to install it from the DVD media.

That adds a twist to things...

But you'll most likely need the b43-firmware to get wireless going.
This can be installed from SlackBuilds.org: SlackBuilds.org
If you can download the builds to another computer and move them over, you should be able to get everything going.Jay
