then run pkgtool and in there go install package. and tell it where it is and then it should install it you have to be in command line and logged in as root

Just check if you installed or not checkinstall , if you didn't ; download or install checkinstall-you have check install in slackware installation cd.
then whilke you are installing a software (tar.gz , tar.bz2..)
then enter your root password to create a tgz packageCode:ttt@onurguzel:$./configure ttt@onurguzel:$ make
.Code:ttt@onurguzel:$ su Password: ttt@onurguzel:$checkinstall
