    Well, I'm embarrassed To Ask But.....


    Have not ran Linux in some 21/2 years and just installed Slack 13.37 Login as root went fine but I cannot remember what to enter after:
    root@slackware:~#

    I'm obviously at default runlevel 3 Just want to get into my desktop. Will anyone help me with this dumb question?

    You can change the runlevel in the /etc/inittab file, 4 is gui.

    # Default runlevel. (Do not set to 0 or 6)
    id:4:initdefault:
