another internet sharing post
sorry about starting another internet sharing post but i've tried everything in attempts to configure internet connection sharing between my linux slackware 10 host and my windows xp client.
- there are 2 ethernet cards in the host, one card goes to the dsl modem, the other goes to my windows client
currently, i've tried using the following method:
http://druid.mine.nu:8880/Documentation/DCS.html
this is:Code:ifconfig
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:05:5D:05:F7:33
inet addr:192.168.0.1 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

my hosts.deny:
ALL: ALL
my hosts.allow:
ALL: 127.0.0.1
ALL: 192.168.0.2
Also, for setting up my windows client, all i've done is exactly what the above url says (i.e. i dont have microsoft internet connection sharing installed) and i am using 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 for the DNS server addresses.
Thanks for taking the time to read the post,
hopefully i can get this resolved soon.

Re: another internet sharing post
There is a networking fourm here you may want to look at, also check out the How To area also.
