pkgtool gives you an ncurses type gui

    or

slapt-gui is a package you can install to give gui capability to the slapt-get package.

    Code:
    slapt-get --install slapt-gui
    slapt-gui installed.
But when i start slapt-gui then it gives an error
something like there is no file
    /etc/slapt-getrc

    Dunno what the prob is.

The add-on package managers for slack are far from perfect.

IMO the best one is swaret. onsole based, no gui but very good. Another contender is emerde.

I think that you have to configure the /etc/slapt-getrc kinda like with swaret. Look for /etc/slapt-getrc.new. It it's there, configure it and then save as /etc/slapt-getrc. Then try again.
