Which Nvidia driver for me?
Hi all, I'm a linux newbie and I'm hoping to do some gaming soon with the help of Cedega.
I have a Geforce 6800 GT that I'm attempting to install drivers for. I loaded Slackware 10 this evening and just chose for it to use the generic kernal. When I go to the Nvidia driver download site, I'm getting three choices: Linux IA32, Linux AMD64 and Linux IA64.
I'm running an AMD 64, but I'm guessing the default kernal perhaps was 32 bit? Should I go with the 32 driver or the AMD64 one?
Thanks!
AMD 64 3200
MSI K8 MoBo, built-in NIC and Sound (which I haven't gotten working yet)
1 Gig DDR400 RAM
6800 GT

The IA32 is the only one that'll work since the kernel is telling everything that you're on i686.

If you recompiled the kernel as 64 bit, then you could use the 64 bit ones. I highly reccomend recompiling the kernel for 64-bit anyways, you'll get a lot higher performance out of it.
