    Desktop icons

I recently had a nice cluster of icons on my desktop covering all my groups of interests.
I lost all that when I reinstalled Slackware and now have no idea how I got those icon-groups there.
Does any one know how to install those icons?

Did you accidentally nuke your $HOME directory? Why did you feel the need to re-install? I have no idea what an 'icon-group' is.

    Peace and Cheer.

Everything is new. Brand new install.
The icon group is simply all those groups that are part of the choices you have in the applications menu.. I had all those choices sitting on my desktop in icons
It was beautiful and since each icon represented one group of interests there were only about 7 or 8 of them up on the desktop.
Now how did I do that?
