    Slack and ASUS A7N8X-E deluxe

First, am a novice. Been using Slack on my other Asus machines, and bought this new one for a new box. Nvidia boot agent acts like it does not recognize my linux hd as a legitimate OS. Understand this is a SATA board but I am running IDE drives. Again, I usually just run the Slackware 10 bootable disk and it does everything for me, it does reinstall and successfully so, but when it is time to reboot I get "Nvidia boot agent media errors and disk failure and insert disk message". The hd works fine in other boards, and boots right up.

I believe that you would need to add a kernel module that can handle Nvidia borads, Im not sure how much it has to do with this inability to boot, I think that it only would have any effect on things once the linux kernel has loaded. But try it and see how it helps
