reiserfs and parted
I have Slackware 10 and ReiserFS file system.
I need to resize the reiserfs partion but I want to move the start of it. I read that parted command required the start of the partion to stay fixed for ext2, ext3 and reiserfs.
How can I resize the partition without destroying my file system and data?
Thank you in advance.

Why do you need it at the start of the partition?

I shrank hda6 with 200 MB. Now I want to resize hda7 and add to it these 200 MB.
What command I have to use?

How big is your swap partition? You could just move the swap to the 200 and use parted to expand your reiser part into the old swap. Or you could also just format the 200M space and mount it rather than making it all one partition.

I will remove the swap and resize the ReiserFS partion via parted.
Thank you.
