Can't get module NatSemi working with Slackware

Well, after I installed slackware, I couldn't boot into X, because I needed to d/l a video card driver directly to make my video card to work. Long story short, I need to get internet working in textbased mode in Slack. My card (Netgear FA311 I believe) uses the module natsemi to interact with Linux.. however, it appears that this module didn't run. So how would I get the module onto my computer, and how would I "turn it on"
